Can an Indian become a lawyer in Canada?

An Indian may successfully become a lawyer in Canada and immigrate to the country without any employment offer. However, the candidate should have an excellent CRS score as part of the Express Entry pool, while adhering to the minimum requirement of 67 immigration points for the Canada Work Visa as per the Federal Skilled Worker stream.

A law degree is not enough to enable a candidate to practice law professionally in Canada. For admission to the bar in Canadian territories or provinces, the candidate should write and successfully clear the provincial bar examinations. There are varying requirements across provinces.
