Before delving deeper into the GRE exam fees, you should know that the examination has two versions, i.e. the General and Subject tests respectively. Scores of the former are readily acceptable throughout leading global universities. The GRE exam fee in India is different compared to many other countries.
The GRE exam fee in India is around $213 with effect from 1st July 2021. The examination fee in many other countries is $205 while the GRE exam fee for India is the same as countries like Turkey, Australia, China, and Nigeria. The fee for the GRE Subject Test in India is $150.
The cancellation fee for the GRE exam in India is half of the original exam fee provided that the candidate applies for cancellation no later than four days prior to the test date. The official GRE documents should be scrutinized for information on the terms and conditions and refund policies.
The GRE rescheduling fee is $53.90 for candidates from China (general test) and $50 for rescheduling the GRE general test for those in other countries. Subject test rescheduling will cost $50 worldwide. Also, for changing the testing center for both subject and general tests, candidates need to pay $50.

Another way to register for the GRE is by contacting your country's Regional Registration Center ( RRC ). In India, the name of the Regional Registration Center is Prometric and is located in Gurgaon, Haryana. For detailed inquiries, candidates can reach out to the center at 91-124-4147700.
You can cancel your GRE registration online via your ETS account or contact Prometric, the Regional Registration Center (RRC) of India, at 91-124-4147700. If you choose to cancel via phone, you must provide your appointment confirmation number to the RRC.

Candidates may use a GRE Fee Reduction Voucher for both General and Subject Tests. With the help of this voucher, they get a 50% reduction in the original fee amount.
