Investment Banking Courses in Canada: Eligibility

The following are some typical prerequisites for enrollment in an Investment banker course in Canada:

For Undergraduate Programs-

  • A Secondary School Diploma or an equivalent, including six Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 65%, or a mature applicant (at least 19 years of age).
  • A minimum final grade of 65% in the following:
  • Mathematics: any Grade 12 U
  • English: Grade 12 ENG4U

For Postgraduate Programs-

  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree or a Canadian equivalent in math, finance, business, computer science, etc., is required for a master's degree.
  • 75% GPA
  • A minimum of 6.5 overall in Academic IELTS as proof of English proficiency

  • Minimum 60 on the Pearson Test of English (Academic)

  • Successful completion of level 5 in the Brock Intensive English Language Program (IELP)
