Since childhood, I was always fascinated by computers. Hence, I spent considerable time exploring various PC games in different genres. Amidst the plethora of gaming options available, I still enjoy playing Need for Speed (NFS) as a pastime.

I recall how racing events captivated my attention as a child. The thrill of the competition, the sound of the roaring engines, and the scenic beauty of the race tracks were fascinating to experience. I was pretty amazed when Electronic Arts introduced the NFS series for avid racing enthusiasts. Hence, buying the official NFS Hot Pursuit version was always on my wish list.

I remember the excitement I felt when I installed the game on my computer for the first time. From the realistic graphics to the excellent soundtrack, I adored every facet of this game. The game has multiplayer modes, cop pursuits, and a refreshing long drive option to experience the beauty of various locations. 

Players can change the camera angles during the race and get a realistic feel. I especially enjoy using the manual gear shift mode as it makes the overall experience more vivid. Even today, I take time from my routine to play the cop chase mode. Players can play as a cop or outlaws in this option to escape the police pursuit. 

Overall, NFS Hot Pursuit was capable of giving me the adrenaline rush since childhood. As a racing game with different outcomes, it is still refreshing to play on my computer.

Many of us love to play video games. But too much game time can hamper our productivity. So, allotting a separate time for playing computer or mobile games is essential. As a disciplined individual, I made it a point to play computer games only twice weekly. When I started playing games, it wasn't easy to learn the controls. With constant practice, I became fluent in operating different functions of games like Road Rash, Doom, and Prince of Persia. These three games became my absolute favorites to enjoy on weekends.

Amongst the three, I enjoy playing Prince of Persia the most. This game does not have fancy graphics. In fact, it is a 2D game that looks like simple pixels. But I like the retro feel of this game as it makes me remember the TV video games. 

Prince of Persia is a story set in Arabia where we control the main character. We have to jump from different palaces and mud houses in this game. We also have a sword to fight against the soldiers. The timing of the jump and grab is crucial to progress in this fantastic game. I developed good eye reflexes and decision-making due while spending time mastering it.   

However, too much gaming can lead to addiction which is never good. In my case, Prince of Persia was beginning to become addictive so I disciplined myself. Even today, I play the Prince of Persia for just one hour. This way, I have fun and break from my daily work without becoming addicted.
