One of the most interesting IELTS essay topics is the following- What gets sharper the more you use it? This demands a thorough yet crisp answer regarding your opinion on the same. You can draw on your own experiences to cite evidence that supports your point. You can also adopt a narrative style with logical reasoning to answer this question.
What gets sharper the more you use it? To this question, I would respond by answering intuition. The commoner answer would have been the Brain. In an ideal scenario, we can keep sharpening our Brain and intellect with more practice or usage. However, to adopt a slightly different stance, I would like to opine that intuition can be used frequently to sharpen it, blending it with your thought patterns or decision-making.
We have heard the phrase Carpe Diem or seize the day. We have also heard phrases like Follow your heart or trust your gut. Intuition is the total of these crucial statements in life. David Lynch rightly states that intuition is the key to everything in painting, filmmaking, business-everything. He also opines that while one may have intellectual ability or brainpower, if you can sharpen your intuition, which they say is emotion and intellect joining together, then a knowingness occurs. I firmly agree with his assertion. I have learned to identify those split-second internal responses whenever any decision has to be taken or whenever I come into contact with anything. That is my gut speaking or my intuition.
I have learned to follow my intuition in various ways, from choosing a career in music to buying an electric vehicle to even accepting help from a stranger. It has helped me sharpen my understanding and sense of knowingness, as David Lynch states. It has also helped me make better decisions since I only rely on what my gut tells me. I believe we can all start going by our intuition to sharpen it even more. That would certainly lead to the path of wisdom and further enlightenment.

I believe creativity must be practiced or used frequently to sharpen one’s abilities and talents. Ed Bradley has opined that You can work hard to sharpen your talent, to get better at whatever it is that you do, and I think that’s what it comes back to. He could not have spoken a truer statement. I believe that possessing talent is a wonderful thing, but practice and regular usage contribute towards sharpening the same and keeping it alive.
For instance, I have learned classical music from a young age. My parents deemed this necessary, despite many saying that I had a naturally beautiful or God-gifted voice that would not require training. Yet, they felt that I should be able to use and practice my talent regularly to sharpen my creativity and special abilities. Hence, I started learning classical music (vocal) from the tender age of twelve. After twenty years of learning, I am proud to state that it has benefited me immensely. It has made me a better singer, helping me channel and manifest my creative talents in a superior manner.
In the same way, anyone who is gifted should keep using their gift in the form of training, practice, and learning. In this manner, they can sharpen their creative abilities and powers. This will naturally help the individual grow into a better exponent of whatever they are good at. I wish to conclude that the more we use our innate talents, work hard, and practice, the more we sharpen our creative brains.

The answer is the Brain. The Brain gets sharper with more usage. This means engaging in brain-sharpening activities like solving puzzles/crosswords, playing brain development games, reading, and more.
The answer is a Riddle. People can make riddles that cannot be physically seen by the human eye. Riddles are one of the best ways to stimulate critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical/logical reasoning skills.
