A minimal benchmark grade is requested from candidates, with half of those accepted to East Carolina University having an SAT score between 1000 and 1200 or an ACT score between 17 and 23. Application deadline

The deadline for final priority applications for freshmen is April 1, 2023. The deadline to be eligible to apply to the Honors College is November 1, 2022. In this case, the transcripts must be received by the college within this date. Additionally, the deadline to qualify to apply for further merit-based university scholarships is December 15, 2022.
