The institute is located in Buffalo city, western New York State, USA 14260-1660. Currently, University at Buffalo has more than 30,000 students who live and learn on the three campuses, namely north, south, and downtown. The north campus is situated in Amherst, a large sub-urban part of Buffalo city. The north campus contains most of the academic buildings where the classes for undergraduates take place. On the other hand, the south campus is located in a residential neighborhood in North Buffalo.
