The University of Chichester is a public university in Chichester in the United Kingdom. It is known for its top-class teaching and learning communities. The institution goes back to 1839 as far as its origins are concerned.A memorial was established in 1839 for Bishop William Otter of Chichester, and this was a college for schoolmaster training. This Bishop’s Training College came to a new location in 1850 as the Bishop Otter College. After several developments, it became the Chichester Institute of Higher Education in 1995. In the year 1999, it became a uniersity. This title was approved in 2005. The institution has about 6,000 students with over 4,500 at the undergraduate level and 1,300 at the postgraduate level. 3% are non-EU international students. The male-to-female ratio is 63-37.The campus is located within the city center in Chichester. Along with the Bishop Otter Campus, there is another one at Bognor Regis. Several student research facilities include the Chiprints Repository and the dedicated Research Office.The institution offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and degree apprenticeship programs for students.
