Some of the notable centers include the Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development (College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences), International Human Rights Law Institute (College of Law), and Women in Entrepreneurship Institute (Driehaus College of Business). The acceptance rate at DePaul University is believed to be 70%.

The alumni of DePaul University comprise renowned personalities in the field of entertainment, healthcare, and sports. The founder of Skinny Pop, Pam Netzky, graduated from the university in 1998. Other notable names include Thomas Maas, the founder of Agave Loco and creator of RumChata. Famous personalities like actor Sean Gunn and actress, producer, and writer Judy Greer were also a part of DePaul University.

DePaul University has formed strategic partnerships with other organizations to help students and individuals worldwide. For instance, the university has partnered up with Tangaza University College in Nairobi, Kenya, to create a corroborative learning environment for the students. It has also partnered up with Linkoping University and ECE-Lyon to prepare students for success in the flat world of the 21st century.
