Newcastle University Ranking 2024

Located in Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England, Newcastle University (officially known as the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research institution. It has campuses abroad in Malaysia and Singapore. The Russell Group, a coalition of UK institutions with a strong focus on research, includes the red-brick university. 

Three faculties make up the university: the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty, the Medical Sciences Faculty, and the Faculty of Science, Agriculture, and Engineering. The university provides around 340 postgraduate teaching and research degrees in a variety of disciplines, in addition to about 175 full-time undergraduate degree programs in a wide range of subject areas, including arts, sciences, engineering, and medicine.

In the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, near Haymarket, the university has a campus. Leazes Park and the Town Moor, as well as the university medical school and Royal Victoria Infirmary, are located to the west and north-west of the city center, respectively.

As per US News Subject Rankings, Newcastle University is ranked #201 in Agricultural Sciences, and #116 in Microbiology. It is ranked #214 in Chemical Engineering and #197 in Computer Science. The University is ranked #415 in Physical Sciences and #185 in Psychology. In Chemistry, the University is ranked #477, and in Economics and Business, #179.
