Essay
The student must write an essay in which they describe the goal of the specific project and provide supporting documentation for the same. It is not necessary to adhere to a minimum or maximum word count or the number of pages.
There has to be a brief description of the goal of the particular project in the essay, as well as a link to a screencast, blog, or smartphone app (if applicable) where the content can be accessed. There are only two types of file formats accepted: Word and PDF.
Letter of Recommendation
For a student’s letter to be as effective as possible, it should be sent by someone who has overseen the project or has direct knowledge of the quality of their work on it. There is no restriction on the type of recommendation letter that can be submitted. The document must be in Word or PDF format.

Selection
Scholarship applications are evaluated based on creativity, innovation, and user experience. This is a project that requires a combination of imagination and technical ability on the part of the applicant.
Each month, three judges will review, assess, and evaluate all applications.
The project’s success will be measured by how well it solves the problem, how well the applicant explains their perspective, and how it strives to cultivate innovative and future-focused outcomes.
A candidate must upload their submissions by 11:59 p.m. PST on the 20th of every month.
After the 20th of every month, the submission window will remain closed until the 1st of the following month at 8:00 a.m.
LA Tutors 123 will contact scholarship winners by email, and they must accept their awards within five days of receiving the email. An alternate recipient will be chosen if there is no response within a certain period.
What is the prize of the Innovation in Education Scholarship?
One-time scholarships of $500 will be awarded to the winner, which can be applied towards tuition, fees, books, and room and board on campus. To receive the scholarship, the winner must respond to an email at the provided address within five (5) days of being notified. Each month, a panel of three judges will review all entries after the 20th.
