When it comes to studying abroad, the USA is perhaps the first country that comes to everyone’s mind. With the world’s finest education systems, the United States has a lot of potential for scientific research and development. In the United States, a medical degree is known as an MD (Doctor of Medicine) and is typically a four-year full-time program. Read on to learn about the top medical colleges in the USA and the necessary details before selecting medical colleges in the USA for Indian students.

Unlike in India, medicine aspirants do not enroll in a medical degree, most widely known as MBBS, after completing class 12th. The US med schools offer the Undergraduate M.D. (Medical Doctor) or D.O (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree. Students who wish to enroll for this undergraduate medical program have to complete a 4-year bachelors’ degree or a Pre-Medical Degree.

Indian candidates holding an MBBS degree can enroll for MD after meeting specific requirements.
