St John’s University is a private institution in Queens, New York City. It is ranked at 166 in the U.S. News (2023) list of National Universities. It was founded by the Vincentian Community in 1870. 

The university has accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. It has 1,410 part-time and full-time faculty members while enrollment figures for the Fall of 2021 stood at 15,452 undergraduate students and 4,206 graduate students, while it has a student-faculty ratio of 17:1.
