Best Universities in Ireland for MBA Courses – Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria vary across top universities for MBA in Ireland. However, some general criteria include the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to the primary degree level of an Irish university. An NQF level 8 degree is accepted. 
  • Proof of proficiency in the English language (scores in IELTS, TOEFL, or other equivalent language tests). Universities accept minimum IELTS scores between 6.0 and 7.0, while the TOEFL scores need to be between 88 and 100. 
  • GMAT/GRE scores. 
  • Personal interviews are sometimes required for admissions. 
  • 2:1 or 2:2 qualifications accepted with minimum marks of 60-79% depending on the institution. 
  • Many universities require 3-5 years of work experience for admissions. 

You will have to submit all your official academic transcripts along with the scores in standardized and English language proficiency tests. You will also have to provide your LORs (letters of recommendation) along with the application fee payment receipt, passport copy, and your resume/CV.

Trinity College Dublin-

  • Project-based MBA course. 
  • Full-time course fees of €36,500 (approximately INR 30.78 lakh). 
  • Entry criteria include a minimum GMAT score of 550 or GRE score equivalent along with a degree or business achievements and 3-5 years of managerial or professional experience. Minimum IELTS and TOEFL scores are 6.5 and 90, respectively. 

UCD Smurfit- 

  • QS Rank 111-120. 
  • 12 months full-time course. 
  • Requirements include a minimum GMAT score of 600, three years of professional experience, university degree, IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 100. 
  • Full-time tuition costs stand at €35,000 (approximately INR 29.52 lakh). 

Some other institutions are not ranked in the QS World University Rankings list though they also offer quality education to aspirants. These institutions include the following:

  • MBA program covers 1 year (full-time). 
  • Course fees are €12,750 per year (approximately INR 10.75 lakh).
