The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities is known to be the second largest institution in the United States in terms of enrollment. It was established in 1851 and has numerous campuses located in Minnesota. These campuses are located in Duluth, Rochester, Crookston, Twin Cities, and Morris, for students who wish to study in the United States. The campus at Twin Cities is the largest of the five campuses. The university belongs to the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, which is a partner group of the reputed higher educational universities in Minnesota.

Today, the university at Twin Cities has more than 55,000 students, eventually landing at sixth place in terms of the largest campus in the United States. With 300 research, outreach, and education centres, the university offers courses from life sciences to technology as well as public policies. Presently, about 60 percent of the student body are residents of Minnesota, whereas the rest 40 percent are foreign residents of the university.
