The twin cities campus is the largest and oldest in this university system. Accreditation, Number of Students and Faculties

All campuses of The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities operate with the accreditation of the Higher Learning Commission. The twin cities campus has been accredited by many authorities in many specialization areas. It has been continuously accreditate since 1913 and Duluth campus has been accredited since 1968. Morris and Crookston's campuses were first accredited in 1970 and 1971.  AACSB, NAACLS, AOTA, Accreditation council for genetic counselling, American Council for Construction Education all provide accreditation in regional areas. APA, COAMFTE, NASP, APOA, CAEP are also the accreditation agencies. This university has a strong tradition of education and public service and has the faculty of national and international reputation. The mission of the university is to carry out high quality teaching and conduct high quality research, scholarship and artistic activities. University Campus, Facilities, Labs and Courses

This university has an urban campus with lots of facilities with administrative and educational buildings. The campus is made up of more than 50 thousand people. East bank campus contains many buildings on the east side of the Mississippi river. The Knoll area is the oldest part of the university, Northrop Mall is in the middle. The health area is in the southeast corner and the Athletic area is near the health area. This university offers more than 2000 courses and programs on various streams. There are various laboratory facilities provided by this university such as a coating process lab, polymer lab, material science and engineering lab, material research science lab and so on.

There are 1000 internship and research opportunities, 150 undergraduate programmes and over 550 graduate and professional degrees. This university offers undergraduate, bachelor, postgraduate, graduate minor, doctorate and masters programmes.There are endless opportunities for discovery inside the campus and also out the compass. This university also provides online courses on various courses. There are many streams such as business, adult education, health, adult literacy, medical and so on. University of Minnesota Acceptance Rate

The University of Minnesota,Twin Cities  admission process is more selective with an acceptance rate of 73%. Half of the applicants admitted with the SAT score between 1310 and 1490 or an ACT score of 27 and 32. One quarter of admitted applicants achieved scores above this range and one quarter scored below this range.

Admission Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate 

The candidate for undergraduate programme must have maintained a cumulative GPA or 2.8 or higher. This cumulative GPA includes coursework from colleges. The candidates should have an unweighted calculated high school grade point average between 3.59-3.96.  The SAT and ACT score should meet the required point.

Postgraduate 

The applicants for post-graduation course should have to provide the undergraduate certification certificate with an application which includes the chosen subject.

Undergraduate 

The required documents for the undergraduate candidates are mentioned below:

  • The school leaving certificate with proper academic grades.
  • The age proof from recognised authority
  • The recommendation letter from previous high school teachers.
  • Professional translated academic records for other language candidates.

Postgraduate 

The candidate should have to produce the following documents for the postgraduate course:

  • Undergraduate certificate.
  • The language proficiency proof.
  • Immunisation record for international students.
  • Optional tests required in special cases.
