Tata scholarships are offered by the Tata Group, and there are multiple scholarships covering diverse study fields, including social work, engineering, and neuroscience

 

There are various Tata scholarships for engineering students and also Tata scholarship for abroad studies. You will also find Tata scholarship for law students, Tata Scholarship for B.Tech students and Tata scholarship for PG students. Here are the Tata scholarship eligibility criteria to keep in mind: 

Tata Housing Scholarship for Meritorious Girl Students- 

The Tata Group offers this scholarship which ensures financial support for female students wishing to pursue higher education in Civil Engineering and Architecture, with scholarships of Rs. 60,000. Female candidates should be in the second year of B.Arch/BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 50% marks in the annual examinations, while the income of the family should not exceed Rs. 3 lakh. 

Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Scholarship- 

This is one of the best options if you are seeking a Tata scholarship to study abroad. It offers female students an opportunity for studying abroad in areas like social work, public health, gender studies, education, communication of development, rural development, and child health. The amount is between Rs. 3-6 lakh. The candidate should have graduated from a recognized university with a degree and should have good academic records. The candidate should have applied/got admission in a prestigious institution in the UK, USA, or Europe. One should also have two years of work experience. 

J N Tata Endowment Scholarship- 

This scholarship offers loans up to Rs. 10 lakh based on the application of a candidate. The interest on the loan is sometimes waived if it is paid on time. Candidates should be in their final graduate/undergraduate year and should be lower than 45 years. 

Tata Scholarship Cornell University, NY- 

The Tata Education and Development Trust has a partnership with Cornell University where Indian aspirants receive financial support for studying undergraduate programs at Cornell. Around 20 students are chosen for the program each year, and the Tata Group pays the tuition fees. The candidate should be an Indian national in a four-year undergraduate course at Cornell. 

Tata Trusts Means of Grant for College- 

This is for those staying in Mumbai or its accompanying suburbs and helps with the higher education of students. The students should be Mumbai natives in Classes 11 and onwards. 

Tata Trust Medical and Healthcare Scholarships- 

This scholarship helps candidates pursue programs in healthcare and medicine. 30-80% of the tuition fee will be covered. 

Documents Required

  • Salary slips of the parents of applicants. 
  • Untaxed income records and benefits in the financial year of the application. 
  • The income records in the application financial year. 
  • Records of bonds, savings, trusts, stocks, and other investments. 
  • Current mortgage details. 
  • Income tax returns. 
  • Current bank and financial statements. 
  • The non-custodial parent’s email address if required for the student. 

How to Apply? 

There are several scholarships offered by the Tata Group. You can check out the Tata scholarship application form and fill up the same with accurate details. Here are a few options as examples: 

  • Tata Scholarship 2023 (Cornell University) – Students have to submit applications via the CSS Profile site. 
  • Click Register and fill up the form. 
  • Upload the documents required and complete the process of registration. 
  • The university may require added details as per the CSS Profile site.

  • The Tata Trust provides scholarships for academically bright students who are facing financial obstacles towards pursuing their educational aspirations. 
  • Students have to undergo a screening procedure. 
  • Those shortlisted will have to go through in-person interviews.

Does Ratan Tata give scholarships?

Yes,  the Tata group gives out several scholarships. There are the Sir Ratan Tata Scholarships given on the basis of merit, and these are offered by the Tata Trusts. 

How much Tata scholarship will I get?

The Tata Trust Scholarship will be providing loan amounts of Rs. 10 lakh to chosen students. It will also offer up to Rs. 50,000 for travel support. Under the JN Endowment Scholarship, Rs. 7, 50,000 will also be given as a gift scholarship amount. 

How can I get Dhirubhai Ambani scholarship?

Those ranking in the Class 12 merit list of the State Board/CBSE will have eligibility for the scholarship. They should be enrolled into diploma/degree courses for recognized educational institutions. The candidate’s age should be less than 20 years as of the 30th of April in the year of applying. 

Who is eligible for the Vidyasaarathi scholarship?

This scholarship will be given to those students who have annual family income up to Rs 5 lakh.
