You can prepare for a career as a finance professional by majoring in finance, one of five business majors offered by Eastern Illinois University School of Business. The School of Business is student-centered and fosters relationship-driven learning between students and faculty. Finance students in the School of Business can reach their potential through a variety of learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. The purpose of the accounting associate degree program is to develop business people for entry-level positions in management accounting, financial services, auditing, management services, governmental and nonprofit agencies, public accounting, and taxation. The WSB Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning (PFP) prepares graduates with the courses necessary to meet educational requirements to sit for the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards, Inc. accreditation process. It is intended to prepare students to become fee-for-service professional planners with strong ethical standards who work with families and individuals developing specific budget, asset management, and related planning processes.

The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance at Youngstown State offers the Master of Accountancy program, giving you the chance to enhance your skills in just two semesters of full-time study. The program is designed to advance your education in accounting so that after you graduate, you'll be able to:

• Sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam;
• Demonstrate broad management competencies such as leadership, business processes and marketing of professional services;
• Recognize and address ethical and social responsibility issues in a business context;
• Communicate clearly, logically and persuasively;
• Identify and use accounting and tax resources to support decision making.

The master of science in accounting program is designed to prepare accounting students for management positions in accounting. The program will build on the knowledge and tools from the students’ undergraduate education, allowing them to achieve a greater degree of sophistication in accounting, auditing, and tax. The MS in accounting degree will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to have successful careers in public and private accounting.

Salem State's master of science in accounting program prepares accounting students for leadership positions in this field. The program builds on the knowledge and tools from the students’ undergraduate education, allowing them to achieve a greater degree of sophistication in accounting, auditing, and tax. The MS in accounting degree provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to have successful careers in public and private accounting.

Finance majors learn money management skills valuable to businesses, organizations, and individuals. Finance graduates consistently rank among the highest average starting salary for any undergraduate major. In addition, opportunities exist in a wide range of specific financial fields. For example, real estate and personal financial planning are ideal for those with strong interpersonal skills who enjoy working with people. Meanwhile, financial analysis and risk management cater to those with strong analytical and mathematical backgrounds.

The Southern Utah University Department of Accounting offers a two-semester fast track to students who wish to complete a master’s in accountancy following their bachelor’s degree. This means that with just 30 additional credit hours, a student can be ready to become a full-fledged licensed Certified Public Accountant in as little as five years.

This major is sponsored by the Department of Accountancy in the Gies College of Business, in collaboration with the Departments of Statistics, Computer Science, iSchool, and Mathematics. The Accountancy +Data Science major is designed for students seeking to supplement their accounting foundation with a strong background in data science. The major prepares students for professional or graduate work in all Accounting fields, but particularly those focused on analytics.
