The Banking and Financial Services concentration for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance provides students with the fundamentals to pursue the many opportunities in the financial services industry that require background in the role and structure of financial markets, the role of regulation, key functional topics (e.g., credit underwriting, valuation, security underwriting and distribution including securitization, mortgage finance, and risk management), as well as exposure to the opportunities created by Fintech disruption.

The Corporate Valuation concentration for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance is intended for majors who seek careers in financial analysis or project management, banking, asset management, corporate treasury, consulting, or public finance. The set of required electives provides course experiences desired by employers such as financial modeling, financial statement analysis, advanced valuation, and credit analysis.

The Investment Analysis concentration for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance is intended for Finance majors who are seeking careers in regulatory compliance, quantitative asset management, MS programs in investment management or other graduate programs. The current demand for undergraduate finance students with a good grasp of basic econometrics applied to large financial data bases—whether financial institution call reports, security prices, or other financial data—continues to grow.

Financial planning is about determining how an individual can meet their life goals through the proper management of financial resources. Financial planning encompasses establishing client goals, analyzing clients' current financial status, developing and presenting recommendations and alternatives to meet the client's goals and, implementing and monitoring the recommendations and alternatives.

Understand the social and professional dynamics of human behavior in the workplace. Learn the details of compensation, hiring, recruitment, training and other essential functions necessary for mastering the “people side” of any organization. 

Explore complex economic models through a global lens. Learn the basic theories of international trade and commercial policy, and develop an understanding of the relationship between trade and economic growth.

The Legal Studies curriculum is designed to acquaint students with the broad spectrum of the economic, political, and sociological framework within which the law functions. It also may be pursued as a pre-law major in preparation for law school. Majors will be exposed to a curriculum that will challenge their thinking process and reasoning abilities through the use of actual court cases, trial simulations, negotiations and other advocacy skills that stress written and oral communication. The Legal Studies major also offers students, who may not be interested in law school, with an academic foundation for future careers in corporate compliance, court administration, federal and state regulatory agencies, non-profit organizations, and other organizations in which a legal background combined with business studies is of critical importance. All faculty are graduates of law school and many also possess Ph.D. or other advanced law or academic degrees. Adjunct faculty are drawn from government agencies, private law firms, corporate law firms, and the federal and state judiciary.

Understand how companies and services make decisions and identify their clients’ needs through psychology and economics. This program combines the qualitative skills of design and sales with the hard science of profit and risk, preparing students for careers in advertising, marketing, product design and more.

Develop the ability to analyze real estate investment opportunities and implement the risk-management strategies to capitalize on them. This program focuses on an understanding of real estate markets and the specifics of legal real estate transactions for future market analysts, brokers and specialists.
