Integrated Engineering (BSE)
The Bell program provides upper-division engineering coursework. Lower-division coursework is typically completed at a community college. The Bell program works with community college partners across the nation to support completion of an undergraduate degree. Admission requires an application to Minnesota State Mankato and the IRE Bell Engineering program. For more information, please see the description at the Integrated Engineering major.
The IRE Bell Engineering program facilitates industry placements and incorporates internal industry-sponsored projects to provide project-based design experiences for student engineers that inspire their engineering learning. The first semester of the Bell program is offered at Mesabi Range College, 1001 West Chestnut Street, Virginia, MN. Remaining semesters are based at industry placement sites around the nation or with internal projects offered by Iron Range Engineering (Virginia, MN) or Twin Cities Engineering (Bloomington, MN).

Iron Range Engineering is offered in the Iron Range region of northeast Minnesota (Virginia, MN) and Twin Cities Engineering is offered in the Twin Cities metro area (Bloomington, MN). The IRE Bell Engineering program begins in Virginia, MN and students complete coursework while working in engineering industry all over the nation.
These programs focus on the 3rd and 4th year of the undergraduate engineering program. Students transfer into the Bachelor of Science in Engineering program after two years of pre-engineering work elsewhere or in Mankato.
