Western University offers a number of residency training programs, all of which are accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and/or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College). The department of Actuarial and Statistical science has been accredited with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry has been accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS). The main campus of Western University which is situated in Ontario, Canada is spread across 455 hectares of land which is surrounded by residential localities and the Thames river bisecting the eastern portion of the university.
