Accommodation is usually from 15,000-25,000 MUR for each semester at dormitories and around 20,000-30,000 MUR at private dormitories. Rooms in two/three bedroom apartments will require 25,000-35,000 MUR. A one-bedroom studio or apartment will also require 10,000-26,000 MUR monthly. Meals at restaurants usually require 200-1,500 MUR. 

Transportation costs are approximately 25 MUR for covering some kilometers. This may double if one wishes to travel to Port Louis, the capital, from the island’s northern part.
