At the Dicke College of Business Administration, you’ll receive a solid foundation in the key facets of accounting. When you graduate, you’ll have the basics to help you prepare for professional certification exams such as the Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exams. Enroll in our nationally ranked Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program, and you will fulfill the 150 semester credits required to apply for certification as a CPA.

Small class sizes mean that you’ll get to know your professors personally. Your faculty advisor will be a CPA with real-world accounting experience who will mentor you through your academic program. Join the Polar Robotics Club, working with teammates to design and build robots that compete in an annual intercollegiate robotic football tournament each spring. Tackle a senior capstone project related to robotics, like designing an underwater robot or an automated golf cart. Modern civilization requires infrastructure. Civil engineers take infrastructure from dreams into reality. From clean drinking water and safe roadways, to large bridges and the power grid, civil engineers impact every aspect of society. The design of such large infrastructure, as well as the engineered management of natural resources and assessment of environmental impacts, all fall under the purview of civil engineers.

At the T.J. Smull College of Engineering, you’ll gain a solid foundation in all aspects of civil engineering, including environmental systems, geotechnical design, structural analysis, transportation, and water resources. You can pursue a specific area of interest with a variety of upper-level elective courses. We’ve recently added an environmental engineering concentration for those who want to understand more about how to safely manage and conserve our environment.

As an electrical engineering major in the T.J. Smull College of Engineering, you’ll gain a solid foundation in the field. You’ll take courses on electronics, control systems, signal processing and electric power.
