Management is the organization and coordination of business activities in order to achieve certain goals and objectives. The major is designed for those students who seek a business education and do not wish to narrow their focus to a specific functional area.

Marketing includes everything an organization does to acquire customers and maintain a relationship with them. The field of marketing includes advertising, sales, product and services design, brand management, and public relations. 

Supply Chain Management is delivery-focused, coordinating the end-to-end flow of an organization’s goods, information and money, and ensuring that an organization successfully turns inputs to outputs in an efficient manner.

Computer engineers create and improve the technologies and hardware that shape our modern world.

Chemical engineers – also known as process engineers – are practical chemists who solve problems or create useful products. They research, design, and develop chemical processes and equipment while seeking to reduce our impact on the environment.

Civil engineers build our physical world - roads and buildings, bridges and tunnels, airports and subway systems, water and sewage systems. They may specialize in foundation analysis, building and structural inspection, surveying and municipal planning.

Electrical engineers design and manage power systems, communications networks and electronic products. They work on the electrical and electronic equipment and systems that are transforming our way of life.

Engineering physics is a bridge between pure and applied science, utilizing fundamental concepts in today’s rapidly changing and highly technical engineering environment. An engineering physicist is motivated by the application of science for advancing technology and sustainability.

Environmental engineers apply science and engineering principles to protect and improve public health and the environment, including our air, water and land.

Geological engineers connect the worlds of nature and engineering. They apply engineering principles to the natural materials and fluids found in the earth, including rocks, soils, groundwater, petroleum and natural gas.

Mechanical engineers focus on how things work and see the world as parts in motion. They research, design and develop products ranging from massive engines and turbines to microscopic medical devices.

Animal bioscience is the study of animal metabolism, genetics, physiology, nutrition, behaviour, care, health and the social and environmental impact of domestic animals.

Animal scientists study the feeding, breeding and management of domestic animals, particularly those of agricultural significance, from herd genetics and high-performance diets to animal vaccines and environmentally sound animal management.

This program is aimed at applying the power of mathematics to solve practical problems. Behind every modern technology there is a history of conceptual mathematical developments, for example, the foundations of computer science, data compression and Google’s ranking system. The relevance of mathematical reasoning in modern life is invaluable.

Plant Ecologists study the interactions among plants, between plants and the environment, and between soils, plants and animals. Forestry industries, human and livestock health, and agriculture all depend on healthy plant communities and ecosystems.

Biochemistry, microbiology and immunology examines the processes regulating DNA, RNA and proteins within cells and the world of viruses, bacteria and how infections occur and are combatted by the immune system. Mutations, metabolic disorders, cancer and determination of protein structure are of particular importance to humans in how we advance modern medicine. Studies of the immune system and microbial processes allow the development of protective solutions such as antibiotics and vaccines.

Bioinformatics combines biology, biochemistry, mathematics, statistics and computer science for analyzing and understanding the biochemical processes of life.
