Admission eligibility criteria
The applicants must be at least 17 years of age when applying to the university.
All the programs of TRU require secondary school completion for academic admission.
The PTE (Pearson Test of English) is considered by Thompson Rivers University for direct entry into academic programs. The applicants need an overall score of at least 58, and the cumulative skills test score of the applicants must be above 55.
The English Language Proficiency requirements must be met by the applicants for direct entry into the university’s academic programs. These conditions must be met by the applicants by achieving an acceptable test score in English Language Proficiency tests (TOEFL/ IELTS/ DUOLINGO/ MELAB/ CAEL/ CanTEST), or they must appear for the TRU EPT (English Placement Test).
