The acceptance rate of the Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is 82%. 

Admission eligibility criteria 

• The applicants must be at least 17 years of age when applying to the university. 
• All the programs of TRU require secondary school completion for academic admission. 
• The PTE (Pearson Test of English) is considered by Thompson Rivers University for direct entry into academic programs. The applicants need an overall score of at least 58, and the cumulative skills test score of the applicants must be above 55. 
• The English Language Proficiency requirements must be met by the applicants for direct entry into the university’s academic programs. These conditions must be met by the applicants by achieving an acceptable test score in English Language Proficiency tests (TOEFL/ IELTS/ DUOLINGO/ MELAB/ CAEL/ CanTEST), or they must appear for the TRU EPT (English Placement Test). 
• The applicants must have a GPA score of 3.0 on a scale of 4.33, which means that they need to have a minimum average of B in their last 60 academic credits of study. 

Documents required 

• The applicants need to submit their GDBA/MBA documents to the university 
• Language Proficiency Test score must be submitted by the applicants, if they are from non-English speaking countries. 
• A degree certificate of the applicants must be submitted to the university. 
• The applicant must submit a resume/CV. 
• The applicant must provide a Letter of Intent. 
• The applicant may submit a letter of recommendation, although this is optional.
• The applicants need to submit a reference letter to the University- the number of letters depends on the course they are applying to. 
• The applicants need to submit an official transcript or certified copies of post-secondary institutions or secondary school grades.
