Kwantlen Polytechnic University Detail Information

One USP, ranking, history One of the major USPs of Kwantlen Polytechnic is that it is the only brewing Diploma in British Columbia of its kind and the first brewing program to be recognised by the Master Brewers Association in Canada. This university was founded in 1981 in response to the demand for vocational training across the Fraser Valley. Accreditation, number of students and faculties he Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs [ACBSP] accredits Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Some of the programs that are accredited by ACBSP are BBA in Accounting, BBA in Entrepreneurship Leadership, BBA Marketing Management, BBA Human Resource Management and General Business Studies. The Melville School of Business at KPU is a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). The aim of the platform is to raise the sustainability profile of schools all around the world. More than 20,000 students are annually enrolled at KPU and there are more than 67,000 registered alumni. KPU has more than 1400 staff and faculty. University Campus, facilities, labs/courses Kwantlen Polytechnic University currently has five campuses that are located across the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia, like Richmond, Langley and Surrey. All the campuses of KPU are accessible to those with visual and mobility impairment. There are several learning centres at the Richmond, Langley and Surrey campuses. Students can enjoy recreational and sports activities at fitness classes, tournaments, intramural leagues and much more. The Surrey Campus Gallery at KPU is open to the public for showcasing artworks by artists, students and faculty members. The Surrey Campus includes an Aboriginal Gathering Place for recognizing the Aboriginal Nations and supporting students’ activities. There are meditation spaces and quiet prayer spaces at KPU Richmond and KPU Surrey. Students have access to all the campus libraries. Acceptance Rate NA Admission eligibility criteria Undergraduate admission Applicants must qualify under one of the applicant categories of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. High school- The applicant must be a graduate of a British Columbia secondary school or an equivalent. Transfer- The applicant must successfully complete 24 or higher undergraduate credits with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 or greater. Mature- The applicant must be 19 years of age or older on the first day of classes and must not be a secondary school graduate. Aboriginal- An Aboriginal Applicant is considered for admission by the Aboriginal Admissions Committee on an individual basis. All applicants must meet the English proficiency requirements since English is the primary language of study at KPU. Graduate admission The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree. The applicant must secure a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.67 or higher in the undergraduate degree program.
