The Rotary Foundation Scholarships- Global Grants are offered to graduate students who are studying abroad as part of the following causes of Rotary: 

  • Fighting diseases
  • Promoting peace
  • Supporting education
  • Saving children and mothers
  • Providing sanitation, clean water, and hygiene
  • Growing the local economy

The Rotary Foundation Scholarships- Global Grants have already touched $75 million annually (average), while 350,000 scholarships have already been awarded. The project comes with $30,000 as the minimum budget.

How to Apply? 

Thinking about how to apply for Rotary Foundation Scholarships- Global Grants? Districts and clubs should have qualifications before applying for the same. The international sponsor and host will be appointing a three-member grant committee and sponsor districts/clubs will be creating the application, adding candidate names, contact details and then clicking Notify Scholarship Candidate. The candidate will get the email with instructions on the My Rotary account creation, while completing the scholar profile within the Grant Center. Candidates should then apply as per further instructions, ensuring proof of admission at the university and other documentation as per requirements. 

Important Dates (timeline) 

Scholarship applications should be submitted by 30th June to the Foundation for those starting their courses in August, September, or October. There are applications taken on the rolling basis throughout the year as well.

What is the Rotary Global Grant?

The Rotary Global Grant ensures backing for global activities in focus areas. These are projects tackling several needs of communities with measurable and sustainable results. They offer scholarships for students who align their career and study goals to these focus areas.

How are Rotary Global Grant funded?

Their funding comes from district designated funds and also club cash contributions, along with matching funds from the World Fund of the Rotary Foundation. The World Fund will be matching 100% of the District Designated Funds or/and 50% of the cash contribution that comes from clubs.

Does Rotary Club give money?

The Rotary clubs provide scholarships for undergraduate, secondary, or graduate studies. They provide scholarships which are given to clubs and remain open for everyone except members of Rotary and their family members. Local clubs should be contacted for information on eligibility criteria and application details.
