Accreditation, Number of Students and Faculties

MSCHE (Middle State Commission on Higher Education) has regionally accredited MSU. The U.S Secretary of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation has recognised this institutional accrediting agency. Some of the other program specific accreditation of MSU include AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business), ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, American Chemical Society, American Society of Women Accountants, Council on Social Work Education, CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education), MSDE (Maryland State Department of Education), NAAB (National Architectural Accreditation Board), and so on. The University records a total undergraduate enrollment of 7,034, and it has more than 437 administrative staff. The student faculty ratio of the university is 16:1. 

University Campus, Facilities, Labs and Courses

With an urban setting, Morgan State University has a campus size of 175 acres. In the 21st century, two garages have been constructed in the university campus, along with the Dixon Research Centre, and the Earl S. Richardson Library. The Centre for Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies building and the Communications Buildings are located in the far north of university campus along with two parking garages, and is linked by a Communications Bridge over Herring Run.   • The applicants need an average SAT score of 990, with an average score of 490 in Math, 500 in Reading +Writing. The students also require an average ACT score of 19, in order to get an admission to MSU. 
  • International students are required to take the English Proficiency Test such as IELTS or TOEFL, if they wish to apply to MSU.
