  • Academic Qualification: The applicant must have passed the 12th class or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university in 2023 or 2024. 
  • Category: The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), or Below Poverty Line (BPL) category and possess a valid caste or income certificate issued by the competent authority. 
  • Academic Performance: The applicant must have secured at least 60% marks in the 12th class or equivalent examination.
  • Admission: The applicant must have applied or secured admission to an undergraduate course in arts, commerce, science, engineering, or medicine in a recognized college or university in India.

FAEA Scholarship – Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents for the FAEA Scholarship:

  • Duly filled and signed the online application form from the FAEA official website. 
  • Recent passport-size photograph of the applicant. 
  • Self-attested copies of 10th and 12th class mark sheets and certificates. 
  • Personal Statement describing academic achievements, career aspirations, and reasons for applying for the scholarship. 
  • Self-attested copy of caste or income certificate issued by the competent authority. 
  • Self-declaration of the family income and assets. 
  • Self-attested copy of the admission letter or proof of application to any undergraduate course in a recognized college or university in India. 
  • Recommendation Letter from the school or college principal or teacher.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be summoned to the regional interviews in the metropolitan city closest to the applicant’s domicile.
  • A national panel will then decide, and the outcomes will be announced. Support will only be provided if the host institution accepts the candidate.

  1. Applicants should go to www.faeaindia.org, the official website.
  2. They should click The "Register Online for FAEA Scholarship 2023–24" link. 
  3. Candidates must register by selecting the "Fresh Candidate" option.
  4. After completing the registration process, candidates should use their login information to log in.
  5. Upon logging in, candidates must complete the application and upload all necessary files.
  6. After completing the application, candidates must keep the information for further use.

FAQs

Who will get the FAEA scholarship amount?

All the allowances will be paid to the scholar directly. If the scholar has paid the college/ mess/hostel fee, he/she is supposed to submit the original receipts, and the draft will be drawn in their favor; otherwise, the fee will go to the college directly. For that, they need to mention the name that has to be mentioned in the draft. For the draft, the scholar needs to give FAEA the exact name they have in their bank account.

How many scholarships are awarded annually?

The number of scholarships awarded varies based on funding availability and applicant quality. The scholarship to be awarded each year is updated on their website in May/June every year.

Can candidates from the General category apply under the FAEA Scholarship?

No, the FAEA scholarship mainly targets students from ST, SC, and OBC, including those hailing from BPL sections of the society.
