The accounting major is the first step in obtaining a thorough understanding of accounting. The accounting major will give you the knowledge and professional judgment to determine the most useful way to communicate financial information.

After graduation, many students continue in their accounting studies and pursue one of the following professional designations: Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA.)

It does not require the completion of thesis-oriented research.

The Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering program incorporates coursework and a research project which is supervised by a member of the department. Many students find that the additional qualification boosts their career trajectory, while for others it is a pathway to further research and the PhD degree. The Master of Engineering (MEng) is a terminal degree that combines coursework and an engineering project, and does not provide access to a PhD program.
