The Master of Professional Accounting and Business Performance is an accredited postgraduate coursework degree. With a design informed by industry and contemporary professional accounting practice, and taught by seven Business School Disciplines, the program provides you with professional recognition and business acumen for a successful career.

Through the program's core units of study and capstone unit, you will develop key analytics, technology and communication skills to lead in enterprise performance management, as well as build your experience with cloud-based accounting technology platforms.

You will also complete electives selected from a wide range of Business School units of study, including options for industry placements and projects.

This is a double degree course leading to two master's degrees: the Master of Professional Accounting and the Master of Business Law.

In this double degree, you will develop your knowledge and expertise in accounting and develop the skills to address the wide range of legal issues that arise in contemporary business. You have the opportunity to focus on specific fields of accounting practice, including accounting information systems, financial accounting, forensic accounting, auditing and management accounting, alongside study of the legal environment and its impact on business practice in corporate governance, financial regulation, Asian and international business, human resources and workplace relations, marketing and taxation.

The Accountancy Concentration prepares students to meet the educational requirements necessary to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. Students considering this concentration are encouraged to review the Illinois Board of Examiners requirements for the CPA exam. Our Director of Accountancy may also be able to assist you with ACC specific questions.

The WIU Department of Accounting and Finance provides a student-centered environment that promotes academic excellence, professional and personal growth, a spirit of collegiality, and ethical and professional conduct . The faculty is committed to excellence in teaching and is engaged in research, service, and professional interactions to benefit the university, the accounting and finance professions, and the community . The Master of Accountancy (MAcc.) curriculum is designed to develop outstanding graduates who demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to enter the accounting profession and meet future career challenges. Completion of the program will qualify the graduate to sit for CPA examination and meet the 150 hour requirement for licensure. Western also offers a unique Integrated Bachelor of Business/Master of Accountancy (IAP) program. The IAP is oriented toward preparation for careers in professional accountancy and is available for students currently enrolled in the undergraduate Accounting program at Western.

The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance at Youngstown State offers the Master of Accountancy program, giving you the chance to enhance your skills in just two semesters of full-time study. The program is designed to advance your education in accounting so that after you graduate, you'll be able to:

• Sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam;
• Demonstrate broad management competencies such as leadership, business processes and marketing of professional services;
• Recognize and address ethical and social responsibility issues in a business context;
• Communicate clearly, logically and persuasively;
• Identify and use accounting and tax resources to support decision making.

The Southern Utah University Department of Accounting offers a two-semester fast track to students who wish to complete a master’s in accountancy following their bachelor’s degree. This means that with just 30 additional credit hours, a student can be ready to become a full-fledged licensed Certified Public Accountant in as little as five years.

The M.A.S. program is a one-year program for students who have completed or are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from an accredited U.S. institution. Each student will select either Taxation or Financial Reporting & Assurance for their core accounting concentration. Students are also required to select a secondary graduate elective concentration. By design, the program emphasizes the emerging trend of data analytics in the practice of accounting, with a standard course plan that leads to a graduate concentration in Data Analytics in Accountancy to fulfill the graduate electives. Students have the choice of remaining in the standard course plan or selecting from among the following alternative graduate concentrations to fulfill the graduate elective requirement: Corporate Governance and International Business, Finance, Financial Reporting & Assurance, Information Technology & Control, Real Estate, Taxation, and Supply Chain Management. Students who wish to deviate from the standard course plan, but do not wish to pursue a listed graduate concentration, may petition to take other graduate courses of interest subject to approval of an Accountancy Advisor. Admission to a concentration requires application to the Department. Admission to some concentrations may be competitive.
