Bachelor of Jazz Studies at University of Manitoba

The Bachelor of Music program prepares students for a successful career in the arts. Students study in a creative and collaborative environment and can shape their education to their aspirations. The program offers a wide range of program choices, all grounded in essential training.

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Performance (PBDP) is an advanced program for musicians who wish to further their performance skills in preparation for further study or professional activity at the highest level. Students study in a creative and collaborative environment and can tailor their studies to their interests.

Musicianship, instrumental proficiency and stagecraft are all skills that will be honed and refined in the Music Performance program, which prepares students to become exceptional musicians and performers. UIW students have performed with international artists, and many sing and play in concert and chamber choirs, orchestras and bands, and perform in full productions of musicals and operas. Students have also performed with professional and civic groups such as the Chorus of Opera San Antonio, YOSA and have competed annually and placed locally and regionally in National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions.
