What is ECTS?

European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, or ECTS, is a standardized credit system by the European Commission. It measures your workload, learning outcomes, and overall academic performance. ECTS credits are required when you plan for international mobility in different European countries.

How is ECTS Calculated?

60 ECTS credits correspond to one year of work or study. A bachelor’s degree consists of 180 or 240 ECTS credits, whereas a Master's degree consists of 90 or 120 ECTS credits. These credits are broken down into several modules that our calculator does for you.
