Age Limit 

For students appearing in JEE, there is no age limit. However, the applicant must have cleared 12th or equivalent examinations in 2022 or 2023 or be appearing in 2024. 

List of Qualifying Examinations 

  • Final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized state/central board, such as the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, Central Board of Secondary Education, etc. 
  • Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination by a recognized university/board. 
  • Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy two-year courses final examination. 
  • The National Institute of Open Schooling organized by Senior Secondary School Examination with a minimum of five subjects. 
  • Any Public School/University/Board examination in India or any foreign country that is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by AIU.
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination 
  • A Diploma recognized by the state board or AICTE of technical education of at least three years.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (Cambridge/London/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva or High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University. 

Students who have done Class 12 from outside India or from a Board not specified above have to produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) that states the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 exam.  

Application Process for JEE Mains 2024 Registration 

The application process to follow for registration for JEE Main Examination 2024 is as follows:

  • Visit the official website https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/
  • Find the "Latest News" tab highlighted in green on the homepage and click on the JEE 2024 registration link. 
  • Find the "New Candidates Register Here" tab and click on it. A new window will open with instructions; go through them carefully before proceeding with the application.
  • There are multiple methods listed using which you can sign up and fill out the application form. 
  • You will be requested to upload certain documents that support identity and address proof alongside educational certifications. Once that's done, you will have to pay the registration fee. 
  • Download the form and take a printout for the confirmation page for future reference. 

How to Download the Admit Card for the JEE Mains Examination

Generally speaking, the admit card for JEE Mains appears on the website a few days before the JEE 2024 exam date. Here's how you can access and download the same.
