Masters in Commerce Abroad

The Master of Commerce (Extension) is a postgraduate coursework degree that allows you to pursue your career in business fields including accounting, marketing, or other specialist areas, in the government or private sector.

In your first year, you will take core units where you will develop responsible and creative mindsets and become comfortable with the analytic component of this course. You will choose one of eight specialisations offered.

You will complete foundational units relating to your chosen specialisation, and a capstone unit in your final semester where you will apply and integrate the skills and knowledge you'll gain throughout your specialisation. You will also complete selective units of study from across a breadth of disciplinary subject areas.

Additionally, you will complete one of the following: a second specialisation, a research dissertation (if you meet the additional eligibility criteria), and/or additional selective and elective units of study as needed to meet the requirements of the course.

If you're a high achiever who has completed a relevant undergraduate degree, this prestigious program of coursework and research in finance has been developed for you. The course involves undertaking research methodology training and carrying out independent research projects in banking and finance, working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with individual guidance and academic counselling. The course offers a pathway to a higher research degree and will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your advanced research, analytical and communication skills.

The MSc in Business Analysis and Finance provides you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge of economics to the analysis of business problems and finance. The course combines advanced academic learning with real-world practical insights and will open up a wide range of career opportunities.

By taking this MSc, you will gain advanced knowledge and expertise in quantitative techniques and have the opportunity to apply those skills to problem solving in the areas of business regulation, organisation and finance. The course will equip you with computer skills which can be applied to business data analysis and develop your confidence in the use and presentation of economic arguments in your professional role.
