University of Florida Rankings 2025

The University of Florida, situated in Gainsville, Florida, is a land-grant public research university and a member institution of the State University System of Florida. Founded in 1853, it has been continuing its operations since 1906. 

Over 61,112 students attend classes at the University of Florida, including 41,180 undergraduates, 16,017 graduate students, and 3,915 professional learners. With around 14.7% of the student body, India is the second-largest student provider to the university. 

The University of Florida campus comprises 16 academic colleges, 900 buildings, 60 to 70 laboratories, and 170 classrooms. The campus of the institution is 2,000 acres. First Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum-certified building is located on campus. The university has around 150 research centres and institutes in addition to 16 academic colleges. It is also well renowned for having the eighth-largest campus of any American university. There are 24 student residence halls at the university. The University of Florida helps students obtain off-campus housing in addition to providing on-campus housing.

According to QS Top Universities, the University of Florida ranks #130 in the QS WUR Ranking by Subject 2023. According to U.S. News and World Report, the University of Florida ranks 180 in Arts and Humanities, 94 in Biology and Biochemistry, 83 in Economics and Business, 152 in Computer Science, and 152 in Engineering.
