About the University

The University of Surrey, situated in Guildford, Surrey, England, is a public research university. Following the Robbins Report's recommendations, the university and several other institutions were granted royal charters in 1966. Its origins can be traced back to Battersea Polytechnic Institute, which was established in 1891 to offer higher education in London, including to the city's less fortunate residents.

There are three sites for the University of Surrey, with the main campus situated in southeast England's Stag Hill, Guildford. The School of Veterinary Medicine, academic facilities, and the 36 million GBP Surrey Sports Park are all housed at the Manor Park location, which is close to the main campus.

The University of Surrey comprises three faculties that offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses: the colleges of engineering, arts, and social sciences, physical sciences, and health and medical sciences.
