In Montreal, Quebec, Canada, McGill University is an English-speaking public research university. The main campus of McGill University is located in the Ville-Marie neighborhood of downtown Montreal on the slope of Mount Royal. A second campus, on Montreal Island in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, is located 30 km to the west of the main campus. 

The 16 sites that make up McGill's resident system house 3,100 undergraduate and some graduate students from the downtown and Macdonald campuses in dorms, apartments, and hotel-style accommodations. 

The academic departments of the institution are divided into 11 main Faculties and 13 Schools. Among them are the schools of architecture, computer science, information studies, human nutrition, retail management at the Bensadoun School, public policy at the Max Bell School, physical & occupational therapy, nursing at the Ingram School, social work at the School, and environmental studies at the Bieler School.

According to THE 2023 Subject Ranking, McGill University is ranked =32 in Clinical, Pre-Clinical and Health, and =76 in Engineering and Technology. In Life Sciences, the University is ranked =49, and in Physical Sciences, it holds the #77th spot. McGill University is ranked =42 in Social Sciences and =73 in Business and Economics. 

Employability Ranking

According to Times Higher Education (THE), the Graduate Employability 2021 ranking of McGill University is #29.
