The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), situated in Los Angeles, California, is a land-grant public research university. It became the second-oldest campus in the ten-campus University of California system after the University of California, Berkeley. 

The campus of UC Los Angeles is tucked away at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains. The campus' ideal position is five miles from the Pacific Ocean. The UCLA campus is lively and exciting, giving every student plenty of exposure. There is 200+ clubs and organizations that offer a chance to meet other like-minded students.

At the moment, the University of California, Los Angeles, offers 3900 bachelor's programs as well as more than 200 master's and doctorate programs across its 10 schools and colleges. UCLA offers its students 390 majors and 90 minors for undergraduate study. There are 139 certifications and specialization courses available through the university. The UCLA School of Dentistry and the UCLA School of Theatre, Film, and Television are well-known institutions at the university. The institution maintains a separate division called UCLA Extension that oversees continuing education courses. In more than 20 different subjects, it provides more than 100 certificate courses.

According to THE subject-wise 2023 rankings, UCLA ranks 14 in Arts and Humanities, 16 in Clinical, Pre-clinical and Health, 16 in Engineering and Technology, 24 in Life Sciences, 15 in Physical Sciences, and 11 in Social Sciences.
