Princeton University, situated in Princeton, New Jersey, is an Ivy League private research university. Princeton is the fourth-oldest school of higher learning in the country and one of the nine colonial institutions established before the American Revolution. Princeton was established in Elizabeth in 1746 as the College of New Jersey. It changed its name to Princeton University after becoming a university in 1896.

For students at Princeton who are preparing for a career transition, likely admission to a professional school, or those pursuing higher training in their areas, there is a program called Continuing Education. The School of Engineering and Applied Science at the school also offers a Pathway program for college seniors studying STEM subjects. The university provides students with resources and tools for innovative research in all areas of study.

The campus of Princeton University is very large and includes many facilities. In the USA, the institute offers on-campus accommodation to 98% of its undergraduate students. The institute has more than 200 buildings on its campus, six residential colleges, 17 campus chaplains, and ten libraries.
