Midwestern State University Ranking 2024

Midwestern State University, situated in Wichita Falls, Texas, is a public university for the liberal arts. With nine graduate programs offering twenty-eight majors and fifteen minors and sixteen undergraduate programs offering forty-three majors and thirty minors, Midwestern State University is divided into seven colleges. Covering 255 acres (1.0 km2), the university's campus is home to nearly 50 buildings that all have red brick exteriors, tile roofs, and arched façades. 

MSU was the first public university in Texas to have a core curriculum and is the only institution in the state to be a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges. The Association for Core Texts and Courses and the Association of American Colleges and Universities both have the university as a member.

Situated on 3,000 acres of land in West Texas, to the north of Big Bend Ranch State Park, lies the Dalquest Desert Research Station. The late Dr. Walter W. Dalquest, an MSU professor, and his wife, Rose, gave the land as a gift with the understanding that geologists and biologists would use it for scientific study. Professors, students, scientists, naturalists, and educators use this site nowadays.
