Founded in 1861, the University of Lincoln is a public research institution located in Lincoln, England. In 1992, it became a university, and in 2001, it adopted its current name. The main campus is located next to the Brayford Pool in the center of Lincoln. Lincoln Cathedral hosts graduation ceremonies, and there are satellite campuses in Riseholme and Holbeach, all located in Lincolnshire.

The University of Lincoln is set up as a college and school system, with a pro vice chancellor in charge of each college. Two colleges—up from four on August 1, 2023—engage in both teaching and research:

• College of Health and Science
• College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities

The campuses of Riseholme, Holbeach, and Brayford are home to the College of Science. Agri-food technology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, food manufacturing, geography, mathematics, medicine, nursing, and other health-related fields, pharmacy, physics, psychology, sport and exercise science, and social work and social care are among the subjects taught at the college.

In addition to conducting research, the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields like as social science, education, business, media, journalism, performing arts, architecture, design, and history.
