The University of Glasgow is one of the prominent research-led public universities in Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of Scotland's four ancient universities and the fourth-oldest institution in the English-speaking world. It was established by papal bull in 1451 [O.S. 1450]. 

The University of Glasgow provides flexible learning options in addition to undergraduate and graduate programs. Online courses, continuing education, quick courses, and part-time study (possible for UG programs) are a few of these options. There are 124 undergraduate programs and 307 graduate programs offered at Glasgow University. Through 4 institutions and 19 schools, international students can pursue courses in 60 subject areas.

Garscube, Gilmorehill, and Dumfries are the three places where the University of Glasgow has campuses. The main campus of the university is situated in Glasgow's west end. There are bars, clubs, parks, cafes, public gardens, and nightclubs around Glasgow's Gilmore and Garscube campuses. After a year following graduation, the university reports that 95.9% of its alumni are either working or enrolled in higher education.

According to QS Top Universities, the University of Glasgow has been ranked #90 in the QS WUR Ranking by Subject 2023. According to U.S. News and World Report, it ranks #84 in Arts and Humanities, #50 in Clinical Medicine, #102 in Biology and Biochemistry, 211 in Computer Science, #263 in Engineering, and #188 in Space Science. 

Employability Ranking

With contacts to over 10,000 employers, the University of Glasgow Career Service reportedly assists its graduates in finding employment. According to Academic Education UK, the University of Glasgow ranks 139 in the ‘World Ranking in Graduate Employability’.
