The University of Essex, situated in Essex, England, is a public university. This university was established in 1964, in its first academic year, and received its university status in 1965. 

The University of Essex provides 58 academic areas with more than 600 undergraduate courses and over 300 graduate courses. Through the University of Essex's three faculties, which are made up of 21 schools and colleges, students can enroll in these 900 courses. 

Three campuses make up the University of Essex: Colchester, Southend-on-Sea, and Loughton. The largest of the three campuses, Colchester Campus, is situated on 200 acres of land that was first manicured in the 18th century. The Department of Psychosocial, School of Health and Social Care, Psychoanalytic Studies, and Essex Business School are located on Southend Campus. In addition to offering state-of-the-art amenities and a close-knit multinational community, Southend is well known for its beach resort and pier.
