The Master of City Planning program aims to produce innovative practice-oriented graduates with the capacity to play a leading role in creating sustainable cities and regions. This program is designed to equip students for rewarding professional work planning for 21st century global-local challenges including rapid urbanisation, climate change, resource constraints, globalisation and technological disruption. With its distinctive interdisciplinary urban design orientation, the program will cultivate city planners and urban designers with the global perspective, knowledge, skills and adaptability to make a significant contribution to addressing these challenges. The Master of Project Management program provides a comprehensive business-ready foundation that will equip students from any background with the knowledge required to develop a career and expertise in project management. The Master of Project Management features four distinct study themes including strategy, sustainability, managing complex problems and teams, and virtual teams and global working. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including conflict resolution, effective integrated planning, management, market performance, portfolio management, public and private sector investment and risk identification. External speakers from leading investment banks, credit agencies and portfolio fund managers contribute to case studies and workshops.

The Master of Urban Design develops professionals who can understand the city as possessing both spatial and temporal elements that interplay in a complex system, and who can design for contemporary challenges such as mass urbanisation and changing climate demands. Differing from architecture, which focuses on individual buildings and structures, urban design looks at groups of buildings, street scapes, landscapes and the provision of municipal services, and aims to create harmonious, cohesive spaces. By working in interdisciplinary teams that encourage interaction, collaboration and collegiate working environments, our students are employment-ready for a challenging and rewarding career in Urban Design.

The Master of Landscape Architecture will give you the knowledge and skills to help improve our built and natural environments through innovative design. You will gain: The skills to design ecologically sound and contemporary landscapes using the latest materials and technologies An in-depth understanding of international contemporary practice The management and communications skills to work effectively in interdisciplinary project teams, directly applicable in professional practice An extensive knowledge of landscape architectural history and theory. The Master of Landscape Architecture offers you flexibility, so you can take a two-year program if you already have a three-year undergraduate degree in landscape architecture, or the three-year program if you are applying with a degree from another discipline.
