Germany's University of Cologne is located in Cologne. It was the sixth university established in Central Europe, having been founded in 1388. It was reopened in 1919 after closing in 1798. It currently has over 50,000 students, making it one of Germany's biggest universities. The university consistently ranks highly in business and law, both nationally and internationally, and is a leader in the field of economics. With its six faculties, the institution offers 200 different topics of study. The faculties are the following: Arts, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Law, Management, Economics and Social Sciences, Medicine (with the University clinic linked with it), and Human Sciences.
