About the University

The Graduate School of Electrical Engineering (École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Génie Électrique), a non-profit private higher education institution, is situated in the suburbs of the French city of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray. The institution is considered one of the best Engineering colleges in France with networks spanning all over the world aiding in graduate opportunities. The university also offers training programmes for engineering students in telecommunications, electronics, information technologies, information networks, embedded systems, automation, and robotics; electrical engineering for transportation; mechatronics; energy and sustainability; and biomedical; business; and financial engineering. It is operated jointly by the Rouen Chamber of Commerce, the Society of Engineers in Electrical Engineering, and a group of private firms under the direction of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. As a semi-private engineering school, ESIGELEC is governed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research but is co-led by the Rouen Chamber of Commerce. In accordance with the statute of 1901, it was established as a nonprofit corporation. Students are required to contribute to the student fee, which is partially covered by both private and public funding, and the school is not focused on profit as a consequence.
