The University of Lethbridge, sometimes referred to as uLethbridge, uLeth, or U of L, is a comprehensive academic and research university that receives public funding. It was formed in 1967 with an emphasis on experiential learning, interdisciplinary research, and cooperative education, following the liberal education tradition. Just around 9,000 undergraduate students and 600 postgraduate students study in the faculties of arts and sciences, education, management, health sciences, and fine arts, offering 150 undergraduate degrees.

Situated in Lethbridge, Alberta, the institution also maintains a second campus in Calgary that provides degree programs along with weekend and evening classes in health sciences and management. Architect Arthur Erickson created and finished University Hall, the primary structure, in 1971. In addition, the Alberta Water and Environmental Science Building, the Canadian facility for Behavioral Neuroscience, a student union, a library, and a facility for sport and wellbeing are located there.

The institution opened a School of Liberal Education in 2017. One of Canada's largest collections of American, European, and Canadian art from the 19th and 20th centuries is found at the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery. There are 13,000 pieces in total, encompassing sculpture, installation, painting, printing, drawing, and photography.
