Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Toronto Metropolitan University, also known as Toronto Met, is a public research institution. The main campus of the university is located in Toronto's Garden District, but it also runs facilities across the city. The Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Community Services, the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science, the Faculty of Science, The Creative School, the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, and the Ted Rogers School of Management are the seven academic divisions/faculties that the university runs. Several of these faculties have additional divisions into more manageable departments and schools. Through the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, the institution also offers continuing education programs. 

A few years after the founding of the graduate school, the university adopted its name to Ryerson University in 2002. The university was renamed Toronto Metropolitan University in 2022 as a result of worries regarding the impact of Egerton Ryerson on the residential school system for Canadian Indians.

As per the Subject Ranking of US News, Ryerson University (also known as Toronto Metropolitan University) is ranked #174 in Civil Engineering, #508 in Computer Science, #540 in Engineering, #191 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and #731 in Material Science.

As per THE, the Employability Rank 2022 of Ryerson University is #192.
