Master of Information Governance at Western Sydney University

The Master of Information Governance (MiG) is designed to provide a new set of skills and knowledge for next generation managers and consultants, reflecting the increasing demand for training in this area, including the recent rise in information security management issues. The structure of the degree reflects the understanding that the technical, business and legal aspects of informatio governance are equally important, and that the related knowledge and skills from these areas are interconnected and applied in confluence in practice. The course draws from best practice to graduate professionals with systematic knowledge and skills for managing information assets and ensuring regulatory compliance, in a way that is applicable across all industries and independent of any particular technology or vendor solution.
